(WSLS 10) - The 10 Cares Super Food Drive has been a huge success! WSLS 10 teamed up with Feeding America Southwest Virginia to collect food for those in need.
The goal for Thursday was 20,000 lbs of food. Donations reached well over that, weighing in at 26,000 lbs by 6:30 p.m.

By Feeding America's standards, 20,000 lbs is equal to over 15,000 meals. So Thursday's drive will have a large impact for people across the area.
Collections poured in at Walmart locations in Roanoke, Danville, Lynchburg and Christiansbug Thursday.
WSLS 10 wants to thank Feeding America Southwest Virginia, Walmart and all of our partners for their generosity and hard work.
