Roanoke County's newest Chick-fil-A giving away years worth of free food

ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A new Chick-fil-A restaurant has arrived in Roanoke County creating another opportunity for people to win a years worth of free food.

Officials say the new Bonsack Chick-fil-A will open at 6 a.m. Thursday, June 25.

The first 100 people in line on grand opening morning will each win a years worth of free Chick-fil-A!

Folks are allowed to start lining up 24 hours in advance. Officials say this community event is open to residents who live in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant.

Officials say veteran owner/operator Bob Duffessey, is transferring from the Valley View Mall where he was the operator for seven years. Duffessey plans to collect books for a nearly three-foot-high book house and donate that book house to the local Boys & Girls Club of Roanoke Valley.

The restaurant will collect books between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday June 24, and between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. on June 25.
