4 charged with arson in barn fire in Shenandoah County

MOUNT JACKSON, Va. (AP) - Two Shenandoah County couples face charges of setting a barn fire that caused at least $100,000 in damage.

Mount Jackson residents Cindy Marie Price and Robert Lee Price, and Robert Dale Wimer and Dolly Jean Wimer, are each charged with arson and conspiring to commit arson. Dolly Wimer also is charged with attempting to obtain money under false pretenses.

Media outlets report that the Shenandoah County fire marshal's office announced the charges on Friday.

The fire occurred on July 27, 2014 at a bar about 5 miles north of Timberville. The 9,200-square-foot barn and tractor were destroyed.
