MARTINSVILLE (WSLS 10) - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Monogram Food Solutions will add another 100 jobs and invest $7.2 million into Henry County. 

It's the company's fourth expansion since 2009. The governor said the expansion will make monogram Food Solutions the largest producer of jerky products in the United States.

Gov. McAuliffe presented a check for $200,000 to Monogram Food Solutions to help the company "turbo charge" the expansion project. 

Maurice Jones, Secretary of Commerce and Trade, introduced the governor. Jones noted the governor's impressive record regarding economic development in the state. In the last seven months, Governor McAuliffe has assisted in 400 economic growth deals amounting to $6.64 billion for the Commonwealth. Jones said that was more than the two previous governor's combined. 

He also pointed out the recent announcement of unemployment being down to 4.8 percent in Virginia and down to 7.5 - from a high of 9.2 percent - in Henry County. The state's unemployment is the lowest of states in the southeast. There are also 3.8 million jobs overall in Virginia, the highest on record for the state.
