Juice Drive aims to keep underfed kids healthy this summer

(WSLS 10) – This summer, Feeding America Southwest Virginia hopes to keep kids healthy this summer through its eighth annual Juice Drive.

The organization is asking for donations of 100% fruit juice as part of its eighth annual Juice Drive and Summer Feeding network programs.

The group said 100% juice only contains the juice from fruits and/or vegetables with no added sugars, preservatives or thickeners. The ones with the shortest list of ingredients on the label are best.

Anyone interested in donating may purchase 100% juice at Roanoke area Kroger locations and drop it off in the designated collection bins in the stores. Donors may also participate in the Virtual Juice Drive, where every dollar equals three servings of juice.

WSLS 10 is a proud sponsor of this year’s Juice Drive.
