ROANOKE (WSLS) - The movie "Crossing Streets," which was shot entirely in Roanoke, debuted in front of a sold out crowd at the Grandin Theatre Wednesday night.

The budget was around $160,000, and the majority of the proceeds will go to an organization called Straight Street, which is designed to help teenagers with issues such as drug abuse, pregnancy and crime.

The movie was produced by Alexander Films out of Blue Ridge.  They are hoping this type of local production will soon become a mainstay for the Roanoke Valley.

Those in attendance took part in a question and answer session with cast and crew after the film.
