PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY (WSLS 10) - One man died and another was injured after both suffering gunshot wounds Friday in Pittsylvania County.Â
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to 956 Pittsville Road for reports of a shooting at 11:55 p.m. Friday.Â

When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Justin R. Hedrick, who had apparently been shot. He was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later died.Â
Deputies also found out 25-year-old Dustin R.Shelton had gone to an emergency room in Gretna for treatment of an apparent gunshot wound. They believe the two incidents are related.Â
The sheriff's office said it will continue the investigation while it waits for autopsy results from the Medical Examiner's Office.Â
