ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke City and the County are flushing fire hydrants as well as checking water supplies and pressures Wednesday to ensure there is enough water available for fires, officials say. 

Because of this test, they say it will cause sediment in the incoming water and will be seen in toilets and the sinks.

Officials say if you see brown liquid it is just sediment and should clear up after the tests are complete around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
