WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSLS 10) - U.S. Senator Tim Kaine joined 32 of his Senate colleagues in introducing a bill to raise the federal minimum wage.
According to a release from Senator Kaine, the Raise the Wage Act would raise the federal minimum wage to $12 by 2020. Beginning in 2020. The release said raising the federal minimum wage would directly raise the wages of approximately 786,000 Virginians.
