(WSLS 10) - A local race car driver is trying to drive home the message to help save the next girl.

Chad Ricker has been driving since he was 14-years-old. Now in his 20th year, he has decided to give back to the community.

In lieu of looking for a sponsorship for the hood of his car, Ricker opted for a Help Save the Next Girl paint scheme.

The organization, formed in honor of Morgan Harrington, works to raise awareness about the danger of predators toward young women and girls.

"Family is something that is very important to me. It's always been a family affair from racing to the racing community, so what better way to try to spread awareness to prevent future crimes against young women," Chad Ricker of Chad Ricker Motorsports explained.

Chad will debut the new paint scheme Saturday at the Motor Mile season opener.
