ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - WSLS 10 welcomed some special guests into its studio Tuesday afternoon.
Cadets taking part in Roanoke City's "Growth Through Opportunity" program toured the station. They got an inside look at how a TV station operates and asked questions about everything fromWSLS.com to reading from a teleprompter.

Storm Team Ten Meteorologist Alan Auglis also showed the cadets how weather graphics in the weather center are made and broadcast on-air. The five cadets had great questions about tornadoes and warning the public.
They also got an opportunity to watch the marketing department put a promotional video together. Roanoke City Police started the GTO program in late 2014 and it's received nationwide attention.
