DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Danville city council said it plans to hold a public hearing Tuesday evening on several proposed rate increases.

utilities

. The monthly increase for wastewater customers could go up anywhere from 5.5 to more than 10 percent.

City council will also go over hikes in gas rates. Those vary from just over 3 percent for residential customers to more than 14 percent for commercial transport.

Electric rates as well as

transportation, airport

, and

information technology fees

could go up. The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers of the municipal building.
