BEDFORD (WSLS 10) - The Bedford Police Department takes another look at a 15 year old case.

James Walker was reported missing in April 2000. His friends told police he was last seen at the Food Lion on Longwood Avenue.

"We try to think about what happened that morning," said Bobby Walker, James' son. "How can someone disappear from this parking lot and not be seen?"

A few days after he went missing, WSLS 10 interviewed one of James' friends who said she was one of the last people to see him. She told police he waited outside the Food Lion while her and her friends shopped.

When they finished, she said he was gone.

Today, the Bedford Police Department takes another look at the case. They're reviewing eyewitness accounts and evidence like surveillance video at Food Lion the day he disappeared.

"I'd really like to get closure for the family so we can solve it and find out what really happened," says Chief Todd Foreman, Bedford Police Department.

Help Save the Next Girl is organizing an event at the Food Lion where Walker was last seen by friends. In addition to family, the Bedford Police Department will also be there in hopes to bring awareness on the case.
