ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSLS 10) - One of the suspects in a Montgomery County murder now faces multiple federal charges including attempted murder.
Amanda Taylor and a man described as her acquaintance, Sean Ball, are accused of of killing Taylor's father-in-law, Charles Taylor, in Montgomery County. The two were apprehended separately in North Carolina Saturday.

They were expected to have an extradition hearing and be returned to Virginia, but officials in North Carolina said Monday the hearing had been continued to May 6.
On Tuesday, Amanda Taylor was indicted by a grand jury in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina Asheville Division on charges including attempted murder, assault with the intent to commit murder, knowingly and intentionally assaulting another with a dangerous weapon, knowingly and intentionally assaulting another resulting in serious bodily injury and unlawful use and possession of a firearm.

Sean Ball, who was arrested at a North Carolina hospital, was said to have suffered life-threatening injuries, the details of which had not been released. Investigators did say a 911 just after 7:00 p.m. Sunday alerted rescue crews to an injured, unresponsive man at milepost 386 of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
That man was Sean Ball.
Investigators said they believed Taylor caused Ball's injuries, however, the federal charges released Tuesday did not mention a victim by name.
