Matt Claus hopes to launch what he is calling the Peak Creek Grand Prix later this year.

It will be a go-cart and mini-moto racing facility inside the old Pulaski Furniture warehouse.  Claus must raise about $40,000 by April 7th to build the track.

Many racing fans in the community say it will not only be nice to have a local course, but it will also be a safe and family-friendly place for young people to hang out.

If the money comes in by April 7th, the track should be ready for business by the fall.
