Taubman Museum of Art opens new space

 ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – The Taubman Museum of Art opens a new space today in downtown Roanoke called Top of the Taubman.

It includes a third floor lobby, balcony overlook, board room and special event spaces.

“This extraordinary building is a community space, and we are pleased to provide access to as much of it as possible,” says Executive Director Della Watkins.

There’s also a new feature called the “smile frame” you can pose with and make your own art!

The following is the square footage space of the new areas:
Balcony                754 sq.ft.
Board Room       850 sq. ft.
Lobby                  795 sq. ft.
Library                1136 sq. ft.
