PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) – One of two mortuary affairs units based at Fort Lee is heading home after a six-month deployment.

Soldiers with the Army’s 111th Quartermaster Company are due home on Tuesday. Forty-four members of the 111th deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait last September.

Family and friends are expected to be on hand when the company returns Tuesday evening.
