CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - During the search for missing Virginia teen Aysia Lewis and her alleged captor Donald Quesenberry, police used social media to determine the nature of their relationship. Police say the Aysia Lewis and Donald Quesenberry began their communicating through social media. That social media presence continued into Thursday night before the two were found in Arkansas. 

A Facebook page believed to be that of Donald Quesenberry shows a post hours before he was taken into custody.

The post reads, "She's safe. I would never hurt her in any shape, form or fashion. I've asked her to go home several times and she won't."

Police officers were able to track both phone and online communication sent out by Aysia and Quessonberry.  

Investigators say local, state and federal authorities from five different states helped find Ayais. Those efforts were spear-headed by Christiansburg police.  

It was a long week for both police and family of Aysia Lewis. It all started Monday afternoon when she went missing. 

But Friday was declared a good day as Police said Aysia's family was in route to reunite with her in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Aysia's family said Friday, it was a nationwide effort by law enforcement and nonprofit organizations to get the word out and they can't say 'thank you' enough.  

"This community really came together please continue to pray for traveling mercies for her and her parents as they reunite with your child," the family member said.

Quesenberry is facing a stolen vehicle charge and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
