ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The Mill Mountain Theatre is undergoing major renovations.
Most of the changes you'll be seeing will be on stage. The sound system will be replaced for the first time in more than 30 years and the current lights will be replaced with LED's.

The project is estimated to cost a total of about $230,000.
It was made possible through donations from local organizations and people.
"It's a great buzz," says Karen Gierchak, technical director. "All of the employees here are super excited about it, and I think the best part is it's all locally funded and paid for and it turns around and puts it in the local economy."
Some of the employees also say this will help train theatre students to prepare for careers in sound and lighting.
