LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - A Lynchburg woman became a big winner with the Virginia Lottery for the second time.

Nine years ago, Veronica Parker won $50,000 playing the Virginia Lottery's Cash 5 game. Now she's won a prize twice as large. Parker won $100,000 in the December 6, $1,000,000 Money Ball drawing.

"It's a little mind-boggling to win a second time," she said as she claimed her prize. "I never thought I'd win a first time!"

She bought the winning ticket at Quik-E Foods, 1200 Lakeside Drive in Lynchburg. She selected the winning numbers, 4-11-15-25-31, at random. The Gold Million Dollar Money Ball did not come up in that drawing. If it had, her prize would have increased to $1 million.

$1,000,000 Money Ball is played exclusively in Virginia. Tickets are available at all Virginia Lottery retailers for $2 each. Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:00 and streamed live at www.valottery.com. The odds of winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 2,337,350.
