ROANOKE, VA (WSLS) – 70-year-old Stephanie Orange died after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night, Roanoke County Police say.

A second pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Investigators say they were called to the 5400 block of Franklin Road around 7:45 p.m.. Orange was hit and later died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was not hurt. Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.

This crash is still under investigation by the Roanoke County Police Department.

ROANOKE (WSLS) – Roanoke Police are investigating a vehicle crash involving two pedestrians on route 220.

Police say the accident happened in the northbound lane on route 220 in the 5400 block on Franklin Rd. Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle.

 Police say all lanes of route 220 are now back open to traffic.
