PULASKI (WSLS) – The Pulaski Police Department receives an honor Tuesday for its work during the last four years.
Officers were presented with the certificate of accreditation from the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Committee.
This is the third straight accreditation for the department, which is currently the only one in the county with this credential.
To earn it, officers must comply with nearly 200 standards that cover everything from weapons, to seatbelt use, to evidence handling.
The process takes place once every four years.
