MARTINSVILLE (WSLS) - The New College Institute (NCI) in Martinsville received a major grant from a familiar name.
Tuesday morning, American Electric Power (AEP) donated $150,000 to the college's Academy for Engineering and Technology.

The dual enrollment program is offered to high school juniors and seniors through a partnership with Virginia State University, allowing them to earn college credits.
Currently, 63 students from Martinsville, Danville, Henry County and Pittsylvania County participate in the program.
