(WSLS) - A new Christopher Newport University poll shows Senator Mark Warner (D-Virginia) leading Republican challenger Ed Gillespie 51 percent to 44 percent ahead of Tuesday's election.
Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis has two percent support, with three percent undecided.

Warner's seven point lead is the smallest margin tracked by Real Clear Politics so far in this campaign.
However, the poll found Warner leads Gillespie in every region except Southside and Southwest Virginia.
It's based on interviews with 815 registered Virginia voters.
