RADFORD (WSLS) – The City of Radford will soon have a new cross country course for high school students and the community.

City Council just approved the roughly $31,000 project, set to begin in late October. The new Bobcat Trail will bring in both regular season high school cross country meets and tournaments, as well as community races.

The three-mile course will also connect a number of other existing trails and parks across the city.

The project is expected to be finished in the summer of 2014, just in time for the start of cross country season.

For more information on donating to this trail, you can contact the Partners for Excellence Foundation.
