Dancing with the Valley Stars dance practice kicks off

Roanoke (WSLS) – An upcoming dancing competition will make a difference for the Turning Point Women’s Shelter.

Fundraising for Dancing with the Valley Stars is well underway.

Recently, I had my first practice with partner Sara Bremer.

Sara is the owner of Just Dance Roanoke and you might call her Roanoke dancing royalty.

Her studio is where women and a few men come to shake off the day.

She and I are doing a jazzy hip-hop routine for Dancing with the Valley Stars.

Sarah is excited to be a part it.

“The majority of my clientele are women and I love to do anything that just empowers them to feel good about themselves both on the dance floor and outside of the studio,” she explained.

So far, the dancers in the competition have raised almost $90,000.
