 BLACKSBURG (WSLS) -

You know how important it is to make a good first impression And for college students, part of that is dressing the part for a first job interview.

Virginia Tech's Career Services is behind a suit and accessories drive under way right now that gets gently used business attire in the hands of students.

The goal is to get students a complete outfit, at no cost, which includes a suits for men and women, belts, ties and even shoes. There are hundreds of items to choose from in various sizes.

Volunteers says students aren't typically prepared for what comes along with needing to dress up.

"A lot of students just aren't aware of what's required and then when they do find out how much cost is associated with a good suit," said Assistant Director Johanna Smith. "Sometimes they just can't afford it."

Donations are being accepted through tomorrow. Students will shop for items at the Smith Career Center Wednesday from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m. and Thursday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m..
