BLACKSBURG (WSLS) – Virginia Tech’s 2014 football schedule offers some marque match-ups, including nationally ranked Ohio State in week two.

But there’s this week’s opener against William & Mary first. It is a fact not lost on the Hokies senior class.

They reportedly had a players only off-season meeting to discuss goals, and one of the first issues, was not looking past the Tribe.

The 2010 JMU debacle no doubt still in the backs of the minds of some seniors who lived through it, and others who probably watched from afar.

Senior Luther Maddy says he already stopped two young players from discussing Ohio State, and told them that William and Mary is the team’s first and only concern.

The Hokies and the Tribe are set to kick at 4pm from Lane stadium.
