Not only are crews looking for talent here, but they will also film here the month of September.

Lawrence says the message of the movie is simple.

"God can bring you through anything, from your lowest lows to high," said Lawrence.

"In doing this you can do these kinds of things anywhere and it was extremely important to us that Roanoke be involved, we wanted to be able to use the name, we wanted to be able to show the places, the city and as soon as we came to ask, the red carpet came out," explained Steve Woolwine, Lawrence's childhood friend.

"Kicked by Grace includes three major parts and 45 speaking roles.

The casting call is Saturday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Salem at the intersection of Rt. 419 and Green Ridge Road from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You're asked to come with an updated headshot or recent photo of yourself.
