Pittsylvania Co. (WSLS) Virginia State Police say a body was found by search teams in the Pigg River in Pittsylvania County shortly after 6 p.m.
The remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for examination, autopsy snd identification.
The search for 44- ear old Jason Fuller of Carrboro, North Carolina was suspended at dusk.
State Police are still investigating the incident and disappearance of Fuller.
On Sunday night, an abandoned Volkswagen Sedan was found in the 10,800 block of Toshes Road, remote area of Pittslyvania County.
Police say the vehicle belongs to Fuller, who was last seen on July 31.
