Organization teams up with Salem Red Sox to get animals adopted

Salem (WSLS) – Angels of Assisi partnered with the “Salem Red Sox” for “Pack the Park.”

It’s an event where people can come with their dogs to watch the team play.

The organization also had dogs available to meet fans.

They hope by exposing their dogs to other areas of the Roanoke Valley more animals will get adopted.

“We’re hoping to expand our community outreach we do a lot with Roanoke City and the surrounding areas we’d love to reach out to Salem and get our name out there and get some more community involvement,” Chelsea Ellis with Angels of Assisi said.

Angels of Assisi has also accepted the “100K Challenge.”

The goal is to get 1500 adoptions in three months.
