Daniels Gets Two-Year Deal with Rockets

One of Roanoke’s favorite sons got the kind of news you work a lifetime for.

Troy Daniels late season call up to the Houston Rockets caused quite a splash.

Daniels put his sharpshooter status on display for the NBA, including a playoff game winner from the former William Fleming high school and VCU star.

Now the restricted free agent has a two year fully guaranteed deal with the Houston Rockets.

The news was reported first by the  Houston Rockets beat writer Monday night–Jonathan Feigen.

Daniels made four playoff appearances for the Rockets averaging almost 8 points per game. Prior to playing for the Rockets he set a single season record for three pointers in the NBA D-league with 153.
