Barksdale to Leave Hokies

 Blacksburg (WSLS)The Hokies basketball program is in full transition mode. 

Danville's C.J. Barksdale is the latest Hokie to leave the team since Buzz Williams took over the head coaching duties in March.

The risign senior becomes the 5th player to depart the program since the coaching changeover.

The 6' 8" power forward played in 21 games this season averaging more than 8 points and 4 rebounds per game, a year after being a full time starter as a sophomore. 

The decision leaves the Hokies with five returning scholarship players.

Seven new players are on the way to Blacksburg, with five being eligible to play this season for coach Williams.
