Retail Store Wants Roanoke to eat healthy

Roanoke (WSLS) - Greenbrier Nurseries recently opened their farmer's market "Farm to Table" around the end of March.

They're hoping it will be the first year long farmer's market in the Roanoke Valley.

They have 30 vendors that participate and they usually say all of the 90 parking spots are filled.

Their next goal is to promote a "local food hub."

"We are currently planting a community farm to table garden and that is where members of the community who do not have the garden space at their own homes will be able to rent garden spaces here at the nursery," Sheridan Renshaw, Greenbrier Nurseries worker said.
