(WSLS)- Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson will inspect border facilities in Arizona to get a first-hand look at the response to an influx of unaccompanied children across the southwest border. There will be another House of Representatives hearing on the matter today.

President Barack Obama will welcome Israeli President Shimon Peres for lunch. It's the 90-year old president's last visit to the U.S. while in office, his term ends in just over a month. It's expected Peres will once again ask the president to release convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, who has served 29 years of a life sentence.

VDOT is hosting a meeting tonight about the ongoing emergency repairs on Route 39 in Rockbridge County where a detour is still in place after heavy rain caused a washout on Maury River Road. The community meeting is from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rockbridge County High School.

Ferrum College and Franklin County will cut the ribbon on a new free clinic in Rocky Mount. The Beatty Building will be unveiled at 1:30 p.m. at Schewel's Plaza.
