Blacksburg Soccer Headlines VHSL State Semifinal Action

   VHSL State Semifinals involving local teams:

   Group 3A   Blacksburg 3- Kettle Run 2 
Bruins advance to take on Western Albemarle at noon at Liberty.
    Group 2A  Riverheads 6 Martinsville 3 
                       George Mason 11 James River 0
     Group 1A   Radford 1 Essex 0
                        Galax 4  West Point 2
Radford faces Galax for the state title 10 am in Radford.

Group 4A: Jefferson Forest 2 Midlothian 1
       Cavaliers take on Dominion  2 p.m. Saturday at Liberty for Group 4A State title.
Group 3A:  Blacksburg 2  John Champe 1
                   Kettle Run 4  Lord Botetourt 2
       Blacksburg vs Kettle Run in Saturday’s Group 3A Final at 10 am 
Group 1A:  Maggie Walker 3 Radford 0.


 Group 4A:  Poquoson 6 Tunstall 0

Group 3A:   Loudoun Valley 3 William Byrd 1

Group 1A:  Honaker 5 William Campbell 2


         Group 3A: Brookville  3  Park View South Hill  1 

       The Bees remain undefeated and will face Turner Ashby Saturday at 10 am for the state title. They defeated Turner Ashby for the regional title

         Group 2A:  Page County 6  Dan River  2
                             King William 12 Floyd Co. 2

         Group 1A:   William Campbell  12  Eastside 5 
                              Rappahannock 7  Auburn 5     

    The Generals will play Rappahannock Saturday at 10 a.m. in Radford for the state crown.


Group 3A Doubles: Northside’s  Karlie Pope and Lydia Washington and Group 4A Doubles– Salem’s Kathryn and Isabelle Danstrom both finished with state silver.

The E.C. Glass doubles team of Luc Mortemousque and Nick Daly defeats Danny Polk and James Pollard of Hanover 6-3, 6-3 for the state title.
