At 9:00am, close to 5,000 seniors will be honored on Virginia Tech's campus at the University Commencement.
Gates open at 7:00am to families.

This morning marks the last time that President Charles Steger will preside over the University Commencement in Blacksburg.
Close to 30,000 people are expected to be in the area to watch family members and friends graduate this weekend.
Following this morning's big ceremony, the graduate and departmental commencements will take place through out the weekend.
