Mother's Day a Boost for Businesses

The National Retail Federation says Americans will spend $16.3 billion for Mother's Day gifts.

Businesses in the Roanoke Valley have been busy as well.

Flowers by Eddie in Vinton, the owner Eddie Davis has stayed open later for Mother's Day. On Sunday he's normally closed.

Workers at Shula's 347 Grill in Roanoke say they've seen a 30 percent increase in reservations.

They say they advertise on social media as well offer seafood in the Roanoke Valley has never seen before like crab legs.
