Rebuilding Together Roanoke helps low-income families

ROANOKE, Va.—35 homes received an extreme makeover from volunteers of “Rebuilding Together Roanoke” today.

“Rebuilding Together Roanoke” helps the community by improving the homes of low-income families.

The project was created to make sure homeowners live in safe and healthy homes.

Some of today’s tasks included painting and repairing the structure of the houses.

Around 300 people volunteered.

“This is a great nonprofit project that anybody and everybody can qualify to get involved in, just come with the right heart and prepare to be blessed,” says Rebuilding Together Roanoke volunteer Roger Talmbage.

Rebuilding Together Roanoke has renovated over 600 homes since it first started in 1999.
