The River Ridge soccer situation includes the expected–Blacksburg’s Boys.  They are the defending State Champs and a perennial power.   But also in the running without a this point–Cave Spring’s Knights, a state quarterfinal team a year ago.
Coach Brad Collins gang is 5-0-3 through eight matches–starting up to six sophomores in the lineup.  With one of those ties coming against the perennial power Bruins.
The most goals the Knights have given up all year in a game–is one.
Coach Collins explains that defense has been key this year, but the focus late..will be lighting up the scoreboard. Cave Spring takes on Pulaski County on Thursday. They are coming off a 1-1 tie against Christiansburg Tuesday night.
