The City of Martinsville appoints Sean L. Dunn to the position of Martinsville Police Chief.
His appointment becomes official on Monday, May 5.

Dunn is currently the Police Commander with the City of Portsmouth.
Dunn replaces former Police Chief Mike Rogers who retired from the Department in July 2013.
Since then, Major Eddie Cassady has filled the role of Interim Police Chief.
