Governor Bob McDonnell announced this afternoon in Lynchburg that Areva, a nuclear energy company will invest $26.3 in its operations in Lynchburg. The money will be used to invest in machinery and equipment for research.

The company employs 2,000 Virginia residents.

The Virginia Economic Development partnership worked with the city of Lynchburg and Campbell County for this project.
